Route a Madison County request by record type so it reaches the office with custody of the original:
- Court case files: use the Madison County criminal court case guide or contact the Clerk of Circuit Court and Comptroller
- Florida criminal histories: contact the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Division of Criminal Justice Information Services
- Sheriff reports and warrants: contact the MCSO Public Records/Warrants function at sheriff headquarters
- Bookings and current custody: call the separate Madison County Jail
- Incident reports: ask the agency that created the report, which may be MCSO, Madison Police, or another agency
- Sealing and expunction: obtain filing information from the Clerk and eligibility guidance from the official Florida process

Court files are held by the Madison County Clerk of Circuit Court and Comptroller, 125 SW Range Avenue, Madison, FL 32340. Call 850-973-1500 during weekday public hours, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mail may be sent to P.O. Box 237, Madison, FL 32341.
For immediate custody or booking questions, call the Madison County Jail at 850-973-4002. The jail is at 823 SW Pinckney Street, Madison, FL 32340. It is not the same counter as the Sheriff's Public Records/Warrants office.
